ABOUT THE ARTIST

HALEY NESSÍ'S STORY.

My name is Haley. I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona — a place full of desert light and quiet strength — and I am a University of Arizona graduate, a daughter, a sister, a friend, and now, an artist.

This is not the story I planned. But it is the one that made me.

Nessí was born through grief, healing, creativity, spirituality, sobriety, and transformation. Every piece is reconstructed by hand with love, intention, and care.

HALEY’S STORY

My name is Haley. I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona — a place full of desert light and quiet strength — and I am a University of Arizona graduate, a daughter, a sister, a friend, and now, an artist.

This is not the story I planned. But it is the one that made me.

My freshman year of college, my father passed away. He died from cirrhosis of the liver — and he left us on my best friend Julia's birthday, a detail that has never stopped feeling like the universe trying to say something. I fell into a deep depression. What pulled me through was my family: my mother, my brother, my sister, my stepdad, and my grandparents. Their love kept me afloat when I didn't know how to stay above water on my own.

A year later, I channeled that pain into something. I started a self-care club at the University of Arizona — a community built around mental health, yoga, movement, and the radical idea that you could stay positive even while carrying something heavy. It was one of the most meaningful things I have ever done. I watched people show up broken and leave a little lighter. I learned that community is medicine.

I wanted to build that for people for the rest of my life. I just didn't know yet what shape it would take.

After graduation, I moved to Los Angeles. I was recruited into tech sales and consulting. I was good at it. I made great money. And I did what I had always done with pain — I buried it. I quieted the mental chatter, suppressed the emotion, and dove headfirst into work. Constantly on the go. Never still. Never giving myself a moment to feel or reflect. Grief has a way of following you, though, no matter how fast you move.

When I finally went on medical leave, the identity I had built — who I thought I was — completely disappeared. A friend once told me I was confidently lost, but figuring it out. That was the most accurate thing anyone had ever said about me.

I stopped drinking. I started meditating. I started making clothes as a creative outlet — in the parks of Beverly Hills and on the beaches of Malibu, hands in the grass or sand, sun on my face. That is still where I create best. Outdoors. In the light. Connecting with nature, connecting with spirit. There is something about being outside that makes the work honest.

I would take existing pieces and reconstruct them — zip ties, my hands, my instincts — into something entirely new. People would stop me on the street to ask where I got what I was wearing. When I told them I made it, I saw something light up in their eyes.

That light is what Nessí is made of.

I chose love. I chose happiness. I chose positivity — not because life had been easy, but because I finally understood that those were the only things worth choosing.

Sobriety and grief are major threads of my story. They are not things I hide. They are the reason every piece I make carries intention — because I know what it means to be lost, and I know what it means to be found again.

THE CAUSE

Twenty percent of every Nessí sale is donated to organizations supporting grief and sobriety — because those are the two rivers that carried me here. Buying a Nessí piece means you are part of that, too.

Nessí is my commitment to leading with love and generosity. To creating things that carry energy — pieces that arrive at your door with a note from me, a reminder that you have a mission, and proof that transformation is possible. Because it is. I am living it.

Happiness and health are the main priority. Being creative, connecting with the universe, and giving back to others. That is what I am here for.

Each piece I make is one of a kind — because so are you. Wear it knowing it was made by hand, with love, and sent out into the world to find exactly the person it was meant for.

Every Nessí piece ships with something close to my heart — a "My Saints My Heroes" bracelet, hand woven by women in a small village in Bosnia. My best friend Julia gave me one of these bracelets at my father's funeral. It came packaged with the most beautiful prayer. In the middle of the worst moment of my life, that small woven bracelet gave me courage I didn't know I had. I have never forgotten it.

I want every person who receives a Nessí piece to feel that same thing — that quiet strength, that sense that you are held, that love can arrive in the smallest and most unexpected forms.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for letting me share this with you.

Handmade with love and joy, this piece of clothing will bring you an overflowing amount of luck, love, and abundance.

Wear this as a reminder that god and the universe gave you a mission. To spread love and light everywhere you go.

Please smile often, compliment others often & never stop believing yourself.

With so much love,
Haley ♡
